Thank You

As we look forward to the new term, it has been a very exciting summer for us at Elmscot Group.  We have been graded Ofsted Outstanding; voted by our parents as a top twenty nursery in the North West, the only one in our area, and shortlisted for an amazing three Nursery World National Awards.  These awards celebrate the best of early years practice.

We are thrilled that our wonderful Operations Manager, Rachael Lyons, has been shortlisted for the National Operations Manager of the Year award.  Rachael works incredibly hard. Her leadership is a major contributor to the success of our multi award winning nurseries.  She has also been instrumental in extending our sustainability initiatives and outdoor provision to include more time in the wild, which the children love.  One of the most important influences on your children’s wellbeing at nursery are the people caring for them. Rachael has been recognised as amongst the very best nationally.

Woodlands have been awarded the daynurseries.co.uk regional Top 20 award 2023. The only nursery in Trafford to have achieved this. We are delighted as this award is based solely on our parent’s recommendations.   They have also been shortlisted for the National Nursery Food Award.  Our delicious, paediatric dietician approved food is freshly prepared using locally sourced produce.   The children cook and learn about food through engaging activities, from foraging and growing their own to enjoying cultural celebrations.  Our team eat with the children, gently coaxing them to try new foods, encourage independence, good table manners and sharing.  We hold the Trafford Healthy Settings, Level 5 Food Hygiene and Soil Association’s Early Years Food for Life awards.   This is the fifth time that Elmscot’s dedication to providing healthy food that children love has been recognised nationally.

Building from their Outdoor Environment recognition last year, we are over the moon that Broussa have again been shortlisted by Nursery World – as finalists for their 2023 National Enabling Environments award (recognising our stimulating, child-centred learning environments as amongst the best nurseries nationally). Our children spend their time engaged in three, not the traditional nursery two, learning environments – our beautiful nursery and garden plus the wild Cheshire countryside. This, together with our teams hard work, enables a rich variety of learning opportunities, leading to outstanding wellbeing and learning outcomes.

A big thank you to our incredible team, children and parents.  You are all outstanding.  We look forward to an exciting Autumn together.
