Broussa Day Nursery wins the Nursery Food award at the 2020 Nursery World Awards

We are delighted to have WON the 2020 Nursery World National Award for Nursery Food. This is the third time that Elmscot’s dedication to providing fresh, healthy food that children love has been recognised with a national award.

 

We cook from scratch each day, using fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy from local suppliers. Our child-focussed menus are approved by a registered dietician, and we hold the Soil Association’s early years Food for Life award. Huge congratulations to Mellissa, Broussa and team Elmscot.

Our sister Nursery Woodlands Day Nursery were also finalists for ‘Nursery Manager of the year’ and ‘Health and Well-being Award’, to be finalist in these categories, was a fantastic achievement and is testament to Danielle’s drive and passion at Elmscot Woodlands and our Wellbeing Charter highlights the settings drive to improve the physical health and/or emotional well-being of children, families and staff.

It was an honour to be shortlisted for three awards and to have won this one, has blown us away.

Annette Derby, Nursery Manager at Elmscot Broussa Day Nursery said “We are incredibly honoured to have won this award and we are proud of our team as this is very much a team effort from the preparation in the kitchen by our established kitchen team to the practitioners in the room. It is our aim to provide the very foundations for the future health and wellbeing of all the children in our care”.
