Elmscot Nantwich Goes Quackers Over Duck Race Triumph!

Elmscot Day Nursery and Nursery School Nantwich took home the golden duck after winning this year’s Nantwich Duck Race.

The annual event saw local businesses and residents gather at Mill Island in Nantwich. Everyone watched the dozens of beautifully decorated rubber ducks as they all floated down the River Weaver.

This year the race was organised by members of the Nantwich Lions Club and was raising money for Hope House Children’s Hospice.

Named specially by the nursery staff, Elmsquack became the fastest duck of them all – much to the delight of the team who were cheering him on. Leann Banks, Nursery Manager at Elmscot Nantwich was there to joyfully accept the trophy from Nantwich Town Mayor, David Marren.
