The Elmscot Group is a childcare organisation based in Altrincham, Cheshire, caring for over 830 local children aged 0-11 years. Owned by two local mums who both work onsite every day, Elmscot Ltd provides exceptional Nursery Day Care, Preschool Education and Out-of-School childcare. All settings are OFSTED-registered and provide outstanding childcare: in fact, 5 of our settings have been found overall 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in every area, a feat not matched by any other regional childcare group.
There are three Day Nurseries in the Elmscot Group for children aged 0-5 years: Elmscot itself, est. 2001, Woodlands, est. 2006, and Hale, which opened in October 2011 and is currently undergoing redevelopment. All provide self-contained Nursery Schools, each led by a qualified Early Years Professional (ahead of the government's 2015 target for achieving this) and each with a qualified teacher for pre-school children overseeing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education. Elmscot & Woodlands Day Nurseries hold NDNA Quality Counts Awards for exceptional childcare provision. Woodlands Day Nursery achieved an 'Outstanding' grade during its last unannounced routine Ofsted inspection (2009), a standard achieved by less than 9% of private Day Nurseries nationally.
School’s Out group of out-of-school Clubs is part of Elmscot Ltd. School's Out cares for children aged 3-14 years, offering Breakfast Clubs and After School Clubs at seven local Primary Schools during term-time and two Holiday Clubs, located at Cloverlea Primary School and Bowdon Church School, during the school holidays.

HALE UPDATE, January 2012. Our new Hale Day Nursery & Nursery School on Bankhall Lane, Hale, is pleased to welcome Kim Shepherd to the post of Nursery Teacher. Kim is formerly one of Trafford LEA’s Early Years Foundation Stage Consultants to local schools and nurseries.
As a consequence of the ongoing redevelopment and the outstanding quality of the teaching and childcare at Hale,10 new jobs have been created since November 2011 to meet increased parental demand. Availability in the Nursery School for September 2012 is already limited and term-time places for children aged 0-2 years are now full.
