Elmscot Ltd employs over 100 staff, primarily in childcare and education, and also in support services such as catering, administration and finance. We also operate our own Supply Team of temporary staff.

We can offer permanent, temporary, full-time or part-time positions to qualified and unqualified Playworkers and Nursery Practitioners, with a full range of career and training opportunities. We also occasionally have non-childcare positions available.

CURRENT VACANCIES

1 July 2010: Nursery Deputy Manager (maternity cover) at Elmscot Day Nursery Ltd. This is a rare opportunity to extend your experience within an organisation renowned for its quality of childcare provision, where staff are encouraged to contribute their ideas and staff excellence is well rewarded and supported. Elmscot holds an NDNA Quality Counts Award and a Trafford Healthy Setting Award, amongst others. This position, although for 12 months only, could lead to a permanent position within our organisation (11 childcare settings in total). Candidates most hold at least an NVQ L3 or equivalent, and have 2 years experience within a similar setting, ideally with at least 1 year in a management or leadership position. It would suit an existing Deputy Manager looking to extend their responsibilities and experience, a very good Room Leader from a larger organisation, or even a Nursery Manager from a smaller nursery. 17 June 2010: After School Club Leader, permanent position. 15 hours per week after school, term time only (Holiday Club work a possibility). To start August 2010. £8.40-£9.50 per hour after school, depending upon experience/annual pay reviews. Must have at least 2 years experience working with children aged 3-11 years. Immediate start.

Ongoing: Qualified Permanent or Supply Nursery Practitioners (L2/3 or equivalent).

Hours flexible (part-time and full time positions available). £13,419-£18,564 dependent on qualifications and experience (full time salary/per annum: this is pro-rated for part-time hours). Ongoing: Before and After School Club Playworkers. We are interested in hearing from practitioners qualified to Level 2 and 3 (CCLD or Playwork or equiv.)for both supply and permanent positions. £7.11-£9/hr dependent on qualifications and experience. Hours are flexible between 7.45-9am and 3-6.30pm term time, with the possibility of work in school holidays too. All prospective employees must be of the highest calibre and be committed to providing outstanding child care. All members of our team are expected to keep up to date by undertaking ongoing training and ensure that the needs of every child are well met. All staff must undergo an enhanced CRB check, receive two satisfactory refernces and complete a health declaration form. Staff should also be prepared to undertake our mandatory training requirements within the first year of their employment.
